Ok so I was smoking a La Aroma De Cuba Marquis Tubo last evening. I lit the cigar and began smoking, a few draws in the cigar had a weird wood taste. Inspected the cigar and near the foot of the cigar appeared to be a piece of wood, I was able to remove the wood, it was actually around an inch or so long. It was not a stem, more like a piece from rolling trays or something.

Has this happened to anyone before? What is the protocol? Should I contact company or just forget about it?

Thanks

Did you tell the cigar you loved it, before you lit it?

Years ago I found a piece of wood in a Gurkha. The taste screwed up my palate for several days.

I've had this happen multiple times in the Papas Fritas. First time was some weird green fiber like from a tarp (bag) the second was like a piece of tan rope. I sent pics to JD and J Brooke of Drew Estate. Took about a month for them to respond and Brooke said it happens every now and then with handmade products. He gave me the usual talk track, he'd let the CEO know yada yada. also said he would send me a couple tins of Papas Fritas....that was over two weeks ago.
