5 Vegas Gold Maduro The Brick
This is the cigar that convinced me it was time to get a humidor. I was goofing off and biding $1 on boxes of these because I like the way the box looks and was hoping to get lucky. Accidentally bid on a single for a dollar and when I realized what I did I HAD to get 4 more to reduce shipping costs per stick. And when I did it for a second time, I figured I should bid on more stuff to fill a humidor.

Ashton VSG Illusion
Seems to be a popular premium stick from what I am reading in the forums. Bid on one and will save it for a time when I can appreciate it most

Gurkha Ancient Warrior Presidente
Gurkha Beast
Gurkha Black Dragon
Gurkha Master Sel. MAD XO
Gurkha Titan
Thought these were the highly sought after Gurkas, but once I realized they aren't based on my readings in the forum, I "secluded" them on their own side of the tray. 🙂 I will still enjoy smoking them but I'm alittle annoyed that they aren't what I was expecting them to be.

Nestor Miranda 1989 Oscuro Robusto
Nicaragua's Devil's Brew III Sampler
Oliveros Black Knight
PDR Oscuro Toro
Pinar Del Rio Oscuro Dbl Corona
Pinar del Rio Res. Limitada Dbl Magnum
Ramon Bueso Intro Taster
I got these because I liked the way they looked, Maduro and Oscuro types look better to me and since I don't have experience with what tastes the best, I figured I'd start with what looks good to me.

These are leftovers from a sampler I got when I first started.
Vudu Churchill Maduro
Sancho Panza Escudero Oscuro
R Y J Reserva Real Churchill Natural

1. No Gurkhas are highly sought after.
2. Most people (eventually) come to this realization in spite of what the description (i.e. sales hype) says about them. Just like your heroes, sometimes it's best to never actually meet them in real life in the event they actually turn out to be a real a-hole. Sometimes it's best just to keep believing Gurkhas are the Rolls Royce of cigars, and never take a test drive. 😂

I took one drag from a Gurk and was done. How anyone puts this **** in there mouth is beyond me. My peanuts seem to grow better with them mixed in the soil.

Same goes for Dutch's. Granted they de-leaf great and are amazing once you twist them up with goodies.......Then again once BLUNT wraps came along, who needs Dutch's.

Negative Ghost Rider. I for one cannot be lumped into that category. At best, I have bought one Gurkha cigar in my time on this earth. But, even that one was a gift I think.

Anyways, I've smoked less Gurkhas than I can count on my fingers, including the two I mangled last year. I for one will never knowingly smoke another one, let alone spent as little as one penny on one.

I have to travel 2 hours Thursday for a business meeting and was thinking of taking one of the Gurkas with me for after the meeting. With all this hate and disgust towards these cigars, I'm starting to second guess that idea...thinking they might be better used as "chew sticks".

The VSG is killer, and the Genesis is a excellent smoke. The PDRs, 1989, Black Knight, 5 Vegas, etc. are OK $1 everyday cigars. The Gurkhas? Well, I fell for the hype too when I was a noob. I think most of us have. Consider it a "right of passage".
