Won this on CBid last month. Also won a digital hygrometer, humi-care 4oz gel jar, and enough auctions that I have about 50 cigar to fill up the humidor.

This is the Tribeca Humidor and I like the way it looks and appears pretty air tight. It passed the dollar bill and light test. I used the shot glass method to season it and was worried I might have a dud after I filled it the first time with cigars and only had 59% humidity reading the next day.

A second seasoning, after adding water twice to the gel jar (even though CI says it ready to use once you get it, my gel only took up half the jar when I got it. After adding water to it the gel is expanded fully), had a 69% humidity before I added the cigars today.

I don't know what the humidity was the first time I added cigars after I seasoned it because it took 6 days for me to salt test the hygrometer. That adjustment knob is super sensitive.

I am sure I am on the right track now though.

Sure is pretty, but not practical.

Next time you on the site bidding you might want to get something bigger. Maybe even a cooler.

It might not be practical for most, but for me it's perfect (as long as it will hold its humidity)

I like the look of humidors and especially like the way this one looks. It looks awesome on my desk at work. I like the style and idea of opening a humidor to grab a stick or offer one to a friend. I don't like the idea of a cooler and really will have no need for it. I made some bad bids on singles when I thought I was bidding on boxes. Decided to pull the trigger on a humidor and got my bidding fix by bidding on many singles and a couple of samplers. The humidor holds everything I own and have no urge to bid on anything until I get through some of my stash.

Don't have many opportunities to smoke. Tried a few times outside of work but sitting on a picnic table is a drag. Would smoke at work but I am pretty sure the office has smoke detectors. Thought about the car but it's not worth making the car smelly for a cigar. Never will smoke at the house, inside or outside, because kids would have heart attacks if they saw me smoking. Only place I have smoked is my monthly trip to the casino 40 mins away. Last 3 times I have smoked there I have won huge. I know it's not going to last, but it's a fun superstition and it is relaxing.

Well dude, if you have to hide it from your kids, then maybe you shouldn't be smoking at all. Me? I built myself a smoke room. Heated and air conditioned, with plenty of ventilation, and a flat screen. I only use it when it is way too cold or too hot to smoke on my front porch, or when I want to watch something. I also smoke in my truck, whenever I feel like it. I used to smoke while walking George (passed away last Nov), and yes, sometimes the neighbors would give me the "stink eye" when I walked by their house, but scr*w them. Obese pigs stuffing Big Macs down their throats and washing them down with 2 liter bottles of soda, and they think a whiff of my 2nd hand cigar smoke is going to kill them. Idiots.
