Kentucky fire cured or whatever it's called, shouldn't this be sold under the acid brand ? Gimmick

Sounds like it's just a different (but used before) method of drying the leaf

Sounds interesting enough to make me want to try one at some point

I definitely think it's another gimmick. But isn't that part of what makes DE fun? 😰

I don't get it or I don't understand.

I was a big fan of the Perique tobacco when I rolled my own cigarettes, and it appears to be popular with pipe tobacco. It's an old method of curing tobacco in hickory whiskey barrels. Heck, the brewery down the road serves a vanilla porter aged in oak whiskey barrels and the brew is awesome… hick!

IMHO the fired cured tobaccos offer a taste to another old method. Aren't many pipe tobaccos, chewing tobaccos, and snuff fire cured? If you like bacon, jerky, or any other kind of smoked (fire-cured) fish, beef, pork, or poultry, how can this not sound interesting?

IMHO these are not Acids or "infused" cigars. I don't believe it's a gimmick. I found the Leccia Black a very tasty cigar and do consider a box. I think it would be interesting to see how a fire-cured cigar will age. The longer jerky smokes the better?!?!

Just my 2¢. I'd like to give them a try.

PS. Did i mention the brewery… hick!

I just wish DE would make more corona vitolas. With almost everything over a 52 rg it is not in my sweet spot.

We had a chance to try either a Nica Rustica or MUWAT KFC at our local B&M. I can tell you the KFC wasn't a huge hit but most of those people didn't like the Leccia Black either. The consensus was the Nica is the cigar most everyone was excited to smoke.

I liked the Leccia Black, it was a good change of pace. I'm excited to try the KFC and I'm also excited to try the Nicas when they come out.

The price point and limited availability make that quite difficult. I would love a corona LP9 and esp the new Nica Rustica at the $6 price point.

The fire cured is of less interest...but I'll give it a go I'm sure.
