"Follow the money" is usually a better approach than "pin it on a political opponent." If there was a conspiracy, there wasn't a single component of it that needed Bush or Cheney or even anyone in the government.

But kidding aside, to me this is a question of critical thinking - which is not a hallmark of conservatism. I am not floating a theory. I am only saying that it could not have happened as the government has theorized. And I take issue with their near omission of WTC 7.

I think it is a sad commentary when we as a country don’t question things like this, and accept the dogma as manna even when it is plainly in error.

This, the crap from the Warren Commission, corporate/government "altruism", outsourcing of complete industries, hybrid seeds, vaccines, Obamacare... There is just so much that makes no sense when you analyze its components carefully. Just enough truth mixed with bullshiite to make it palatable for the lemming masses.

As you said, the unique collapse of the towers by jets may have been a once in a lifetime irrefutable happening but it hasn't been structurally explained to our satisfaction so far. Perhaps some day it will be. Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps...

Just pretend that the government knew about the coming attack on Pearls Harbor and allowed it to happen (not that they did – let’s just pretend). Who would really want it to come out? Who would believe it even if it were true? Who would want the history books to read that our government pulled a fast one just to get us into the war? Think about it.

No, this does not prove “evil wrong doing” (thanks for the phrase George!) on the part of the 9/11 commission. But it is why questioning 9/11 makes you lunatic fringe.
