Me and Mean go way back, by the way if you are ever in the Denver area, I am very generous is giving my guest cigars, and if you were in my bowling league you would be set for that night.

aberdeen- I have never paid tax on an out of state purchase. Not sure what the legalities are though. This state is one of the worst in the union as far as government is concerned. Can't even get a good horse steak in this state anymore. 😉

I believe a true collector would not smoke a rare find. You wouldn't see a beer can collector open up a 50 year old treasure, and you certainly wouldn't see a sports card collector put Mickey Mantles' rookie card in the spokes of his bike. Why, then, would you consider an owner of fine cigars a collector? Instead, I believe he/she would be designated as an enthusiast, much like those with wine cellars.

Your lucky! I had a small J.C. Pendergast 3' wide x 5 1/2' tall in our great room, my wife did not like it there! So I build a walkin humidor to hold my supply.
Now thats good thinking!

OK, tailgater, I've got a Nolan Ryan rookie card which I (innocently enough) placed in the spokes of my tire (it hurts to look at it) at the tender age of 10. Where does that place me?

*I do believe I've set myself up here*

I remember Nolan Ryans rookie season well ... if I'd had his card, I could easily have given it to one of my kids to put on his wheel spokes ... who knew Nolan would accomplish what he did? It sure as hell wasn't obvious right away ... similarly, not having a clue in the world what he had, my friend John's younger son lit an ISOM, decided after only a few puffs that smoking cigars was not for him and tossed it. Hindsight's a wonderful thing ... always 20/20

Have you ever noticed that no one ever "walks out" of a "walk in humidor"? Where do they go? Barry
