I suggest that instead of bashing people who ask these questions, you provide them a link to this thread and let them pursue it here. They are interested, they have the questions you have answers if you wish to provide them.

I’ll start off

There’s no good answer here, because there are different personal preferences and different storage situations. Even so, IMO, there can be a difference.

Maybe I’m kidding myself, but in my limited comparisons over the years – if it’s a box we’re talking about taking the cello off and returning them to the box seemed to make them more flavorful and smoother.

I didn’t do any testing of idenctical boxes, but that was how I did it and it seemed to work well.

I came to Cbid, and started getting five packs and with most of them coming in cello, it made sense to leave them in cello to protect them.

I will note that a number of well known and sought after brands pack with no cello and some do pack with cello on.

Generally, you can consider that how the manufacturer ships them is the way you should store them.

I will note, that after starting this thread

I took the cedar sleeves off my anejos that I am putting back for a while.

Also, I picked up a bunch of My Father Cedro Cervantes which bring a pretty good price but I didn’t enjoy as much as I hoped so I took the cedar off and put them back in cello.
