Stopped in at the Vets Hall tonight after work and grabbed this Nica Libre. It was box pressed. At first it was very tight on the draw. Most of the cigar felt ok, but just above the band it felt pretty hard. I squished it in a bit on the corners and rounded it out some and it started smoking a lot better. Unfortunately I still can't really define the flavors, but it was very tasty. The smoke volume became very good and it left a pleasant taste on my lips and all the way down to about 3/4 of an inch it was a good smoke and never got hot on my finger tips.

After that I grabbed this Fonseca. Right off the bat it was an easy draw with a lot of smoke and it also tasted very good. I can definitely taste that there is a difference in the flavors between these two. I just wish I could say more precisely what it was. This one also went down to 3/4 to 1/2 an inch without getting hot.

Maybe I'm just slowing down and enjoying my cigars more now.

The Nicas aren't bad after a year nap, those are my moocher sticks.

I bought some for that purpose.

Never had any Nica's. I enjoy some of the Fonseca smokes. They are often overlooked & I am glad.

I really enjoy the Fonsecas as well - especially after a couple months rest.
