As previously mentioned, I like me some Antano Dark Corojo. Somebody said the 1970 Consul was stronger.

We'll see . . .

I love both sticks,,I think they are hard to beat for the price. Plus I love the strength and flavor profiles of both. I agree I think the core 1970 are a bit stronger, but I honestly prefer them myself.

1970's are unquestionably stronger.

I got in on the Antano sale a few weeks ago when they started the bid at $32.50 for a 10 pack of El Martillo's. I didn't think I would get them for the starting bid price so being a jackass I put in 5 for the quantity. I won them all. Just about a week earlier I traded another board member for a bunch Antano's as well, so I'm sorta loaded with them.

Get yourself a Gran Perfect or Magnum 1970 and smoke the thing like a freight train. Have a bucket ready...

I'm a huge Antano Dark Corojo fan. I was walking around a flea market one day smoking one and these three old guys were sitting at a table and all three commented on the smell of the cigar and said that must be a really good cigar.

I like both of these also. I have smoked a lot more of the 1970s though so I am thinking I must like them more but it is close. I think the 1970 is the only 60 rg smoke I prefer so far. Most everything else I go 50 rg or smaller.

I can't smoke the 1970 anymore just to strong to enjoy, Dark Corojo is sneaky strong where the 1970 is more in your face with the strength. The Dark Corojo has a tastier wrapper.

Have been enjoying the JDN Rosalones. Not as strong as those others but good.

OK... so yesterday I showed up a the Vets Hall and helped bring in 7 pallets of beer and liquor! They don't pay me enough to sweat like that! 😉 We pulled in a lot of good beer including some Chimay and Duvel ... !

Once we finished I had to buy a new Vets Hall t-shirt because mine wasn't gonna dry out as other people started showing up.

Anyway... it was early so I fired up a JdN Rosalones. It was a great cigar. The sad part is... I discovered that I only had 2 of them left in the box.

As the night progressed I decided to fire up an Antano 1970 Consul... and yes, it is a power cigar. I like 'em like that.

After a while I fired up the JdN Antona Dark Corojo El Martillo. This is still may favorite cigar, for now. As mentioned, it is not as powerful as the 1970, but it sure has a lot more flavor!

That is all. Carry on.
