When your done I expect an invitation, even though I won't be able to come. Lol
Actually have been thinking of doing the same in my basement.

You don't need an invitation my friend. Just give me ample time to hide my metal washers and plastic dry wall anchors.

I too just used your photo, as mentioned above by a few, to illustrate to my wife how paltry my mere cooler and 3 humis are...............worked like a charm

MJ for some reason it would not let me quote you but this in regards to your a mancave.

That man cave is already badazz. Walk in humi and air puifier would make it the envy of most men on here.

IMO the high hat would just need to get a bead of silicone around the fixture to keep humidity from escaping but you may want to look into some caulk/silicones that hold up to high temps as those cans get pretty hot.

Also I wouldn't worry about keeping the glass loose in the frame of the door either. It will be a controlled temp so not a lot expansion and contraction will be taking place. If the door was exposed to outside and inside elements at the same time then I might worry about that.

New LED bulb would fix the heat issue and they work just as good if not better.

Ray did you build this from a drawing or just kinda winged it? Came out GREAT if I didnt mention it.

I am impressed with the tidiness of your humi, Ray. Mine are all crammed full and the only time they ever look neat is when I con Grumpie into doing some organizing for me.

I owe the troops a box, so maybe I should use some of this snowbound time to sort through and lose a storage tub.

Ray, I have to respectfully disagree with this assessment. Have used silicone successfully in a humidor door with no repercussions and it eliminates rattles and vibrations as well as seals better. Allowed to fully cure it will remain flexible enough for movement.

Reck........no, did not build this one. It's manufactured. I have seen it on a few humidor web sites here and there. I found this on on Craig's List and saved about a grand.

I am very happy with it. It's been a nice addition to my office. I just put some LED lights in it the other day. Found them at Costco for very inexpensive $.
