My first My Father le Bijou 1922s and Sam Leccia Whites.

That group, back left, is a grab bag sampler where you send 'em some money and they throw some cigars together.. and surprise. 😉 Not really a bad selection. Got some cigars I haven't tried. Arganese, Calle Ocho, some thing that says Clasico, etc. Then there's a Graycliff G2, La Aurora, Nice Libre, Cu Avana, Indian Tabac Corojo Classic, a Gurkha Park Avenue, and a little 5 Vegas.

Those Perdomos are an old favorite and the Camacho Pre-Embargos never disappoint.

The No. 1's are one of Pepin's very best IMHO, I'll be very surprised if you do not enjoy that one!!

I hope so.

There's not too many smokes that I've ashed that I didn't care for. I smoked the first of a fiver of Gran habano 3sls and don't know if the earthy taste is what I didn't like but it tasted like a burning wet dirty sock. I still have several and I'm hoping a good rest will improve them.

They weren't wet, I had them for several weeks in my humidor with 65% Boveda packs.

they will not improve... what you are tasting is the signature gran habano taste of a wet, musty barn... I smoked my fair share of them before I picked up that flavor note, but once I did I was never able to enjoy another one...

Hmm too bad cause they look great and are cheap. Oh well they're mooch sticks.

Thanks for posting that info! Confirms that it's not just me then. 🇨🇮

a good alternative to the gh's are the Pinar Del Rio's... I don't smoke them anymore, but the ones that have the different colored cloth bands around the feet are decent yard gars and can be had for a buck most the time... the one with the yellow band and the one with the red band were my fav's... black band and blue band were a little stronger if i remember correctly...

The pdrs don't have that wet sock syndrome do they?

It's not like I don't like that barnyard smell either. I love me a Fuente maduro, just a totally different smell though.

Black Ops is my yard gar of choice.
