My Dad was a finishing carpenter so I have much love and respect for finely made wooden pieces...unfortunately I didn't pay enough attention while growing up and never grasped the skills and techniques needed to carry his craftsmanship forward. [frypan]

In my eyes, the ashtray is beautiful, regardless of the logo on the bottom. 🇨🇮

Lighten up, Paul. I can't stand Ohio State. Hence the comment. I need to work on my communication skills with you.

Nothing bad about your craftmanship. Put a big "N" for the University of Nebraksa and it would probably be the absolute coolest ash tray I've ever seen.

Edit: Typos

Palama, my dream is to have a small, personal KOA humidor one of these days. I have always loved Koa. Just wish there was more of it. Back in the early 90's. , if I would have had more money, there would be items all over the house.

I'd love to have one too but that probably won't be any earlier than when I retire and the home renovations are completed and paid down. My classmate down the street has / had a friend that made him one so next time I see him I'll ask if his friend still makes them.

I would be curious of the price for about a 25 cigar humidor. Maybe in three years when I retire, I will gift it to myself. One of our Wyland prints has a nice Koa frame.

Roger that.

Koa frames on all of our artwork except for one. Steel wool and Johnson's wax paste does an incredible job on them.

you know i never even thought about that. i still have some 4/4 boards at my dads house i have been holding onto for about 25 years and forgot about until i read this. might have to have him cut it to size and ship it over so i can make one. Koa Humi...... gotta love it.

in the early 90s at sears in pearl ridge there was an entertainment center, full wall 3 piece for sale at a cost of 10k. not cheap at all

Paul, another awesome piece! Looks like black walnut which is my all time favorite wood. Even though I favor PSU, I must admit, the Buckeye logo looks terrific. Your ashtrays are so nice looking I'd hate to soil one with ashes!

Sneaking of ashes, don't let the ash holes get to ya bro. When it comes to great and talented BOTL's, your rep here is second to none! Keep up the fine work!!

I don't blame you one bit. When you're a standup guy like you have ALWAYS been, it's difficult to accept others are not like you. You (and your work) have earned the respect of the many outstanding BOTL's here, but It seems to me there's way too much shameless mooching and such going on here lately. It don't recall this place being this way when I first came on board and you took me under your wing. It's sad really. Thankfully the good still outnumber the bad.

If everyone had as much class as TMCTLT, this would be a better place.....
