Oh, I forgot to mention that a few days after this photo, those tables were sanded and repainted as the place was spruced up for a visit of some distinguished visitors:

These Veterans were here for the invasion back in 1944 and came out for a visit.

"These men are tied to the Kingfisher Project, and were directly involved in the rescue of Harrison Miller, radioman/rear-gunner on the Kingfisher and who ditched the plane into the lagoon when he and his pilot were shot down. As many on Kwajalein know, a search for this plane has been going since August 2011. "

Another story I read said that their boat was under fire as they went in for the rescue in the lagoon.
