I have done this one for cash in the past and its a lot of fun. We usually have no problem getting 64 people. I doubt that will happen here so we will need a derivative of 64 if we cant get 64 (32, 16 or even 8 would work).

Here is how it works.

Each participant will randomly get a team in the field of 64 that starts on Thursday (no play in games or anything). The goal is to either beat the opponent with the spread if you are the favorite or cover the spread if you are the underdog. If you are the underdog and lose but cover the spread you move on with favorite and the person with the favorite is out. If you are the favorite and win the game but do not cover you are out and the person with the underdog gets your team going forward. If you are the favorite and win and cover you move on. If you are the underdog and lose and do not cover you are out. For example, I have Duke and Jeremy has CBIDU and Duke is favored by 31. Duke wins 76-60, CBIDU covers so I am out an Jeremy now has Duke. If Duke wins 129-13, I win and cover and move on and Jermey is out.

I will be posting the official spreads of each game the morning they are played so we all use the same spreads. They are not negotiable so whatever source I get them from will be the bible.

Like I said ideally we would have 64 people and we each get 1 team but if we only get 32 people we will get 2 teams or 16 people we would get 4 teams and 8 people would get us 8 teams.

The buy in is friendly 5er. I will breakdown the winnings once we know how many we have. I AM NOT collecting upfront for this as I have no room.

Let me know who is in. I can already hear Jeremy and Craig typing IM IN already!!!

The one thing I left out is that if there is a tie with the spread the underdog wins.

So your stuck with this team the whole time? If they keep winning or does it change from game to game?

Looks like your team can change depending on the spread. If you have the dog that covers the spread, you get the favored/winning team. The guy that had the favored team that wins but didn't beat the spread is out.
