Cubs 3

Diamondbacks 8

The Giants lost too... Kirk Rueter needs to settle down. The bullpen lost it for them though. Tomorrow is another day... rubber match...

Country, you know what a rubber match is right?...hehe!

GO GIANTS!!!

Hey Country,

3 Cub starters, and no one has made it past the 5th inning. I know it's still very early in the season, but Dusty's bullpen has already been racking up the stats. Wood starts on Friday, and Prior makes a rehab start today. The offense just sort of died the last 2 games. We got beat by a pitcher that lost 16 games last year.

Radio gaga: Steve Stone is getting his licks in again. He hammered Kerry Wood over his mechanics. From the Tribune: [Wood declined to get into a war of words with Stone last week over criticism of his mechanics. But Wood added the criticism suggested Stone created many of the controversies last year. Stone replied on WSCR that Wood should "shut up and pitch."]

it's hard for me to hear that about Stone, I've grown up listening to him and always thought of him as a respectable guy. It really put a sour taste in my mouth when the whole deal with Stone and Carry went down at the end of last year.

Country

Kirk Saarlos of you Oakland Athletics made an emergency start for the A's yesterday....six innings one hit, one walk, two strikeouts, and no runs allowed....whats that about the A's not having starting pitching?

and the Cincinnati Reds are now 3-0. Breaks my heart to see the Mets get swept like that.
