My all time favs are staghorn and honey clover mix, and a Virginia Burley with Latkia. I really suggest you go to a B7M pipe shop and sniff a few jars, and get a 1/4 ounce of each you seem to like, and test burn them. Keep a journal of what you like, and adjust the mistures of the ones you like till you reach your prime smoke. Like I said Staghorn and honeyclover was my prime, but during St Patricks day season, I hot a bit of Irish flavoring, and Christmas had a bit of Nutmeg overtones. Enjoy it is the big thing. Do not worry about what is popular, find what taste best to you.o:)

Sometimes it's the blend sometimes technique, is the bottom of the pipe/tobacco wet when it bites?

Chaz most of the time tongue bite is brought on by ones cadence,with the exception of goopy aromatics they bite like a bitch.Pack a little looser and sip the pipe.I could say this all day and it may not work for you now.......it's a natural thing,one day you'll just find yourself doing it.

I used to smoke up to 20 cigars a week now maybe 3 or 4.I really enjoy the pipe more....especially with a good vaper in it.
