adroomi started a goofy thread with the word dream.

as he was typing it i was duping a 2nd copy of a dvd to send to you and watching the ist copy to make sure it is was duped ok. the title of the dvd is "dreams."

coincidence? mind control? telepathy? spooky?

about "dreams"

Produced with assistance from George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, Dreams is an omnibus of eight short stories and parables that spell enchantment at every turn. The opening story, "Sun Under the Rain," emerges from director Akira Kurosawa's personal memories, as a child (whose house is modeled after Kurosawa's childhood home in Koishikawa) witnesses a fox's wedding ceremony in a magical forest. The Garden of Eden motif continues in "The Peach Orchard," while Lucas's ILM special effects group shines in the glorious "Crows" segment, in which an art admirer finds himself living within the paintings of Van Gogh (played with concentrated energy by Kurosawa enthusiast Martin Scorsese). In the idyllic closing fable, "The Village of the Watermills," a centenarian claims that "people nowadays have forgotten that they are also part of nature." The equally wise Kurosawa reinforces the old man's claim through these vivid but ultimately life-affirming tableaux.

Tonight I ate calamari, smoked a cuban Partagas, drank a good burgandy, and watched the sun set over the water from the 70th floor lounge of the Stamford hotel. Then on to the Raffles hotel "long bar" for an original, 200 year old recipe, Singapore Sling.

I just dropped off my sunglasses in the room and now it's back down to the lounge to keep my eye on the Filipino lounge singer that has been giving me the "look" for the past 4 days. A dime will get you ten that I won't sleep in the Hilton tonight.

Gotta go, Adroomi's got a mission.

I love Filipino food.......

. . . first job was at the self-proclaimed "worlds largest music store" - The Great, Great House of Guitars, in Rochester, NY . . . . .

. . . , I remember watching the Cult live about 12 years ago, and saying "you know, I don't think Jim Morrison is dead . . . he's changed his identity and now goes by Ian Astbury. . . " . . . someone must have agreed with me . . .

Jack,

Yes, me too. I'd had them all over the world, and although I spend a great deal of time in Singapore, I'd never actually gone and had one at "The Long Bar" where they originated, and the recipe is still a secret. They are quite different there. I mean knock you on your butt different and sitting there at that huge wooden bar amongst the palms and gas lamps you really feel like some old sailor or dignitary from a couple hundred years ago. Tasty tasty!
