. . . and that's my 'Friday' night. Brought along an Illusione Epernay toro size. A Tatuaje 7th Capa Especial. And a Nat Sherman 1930 Gran Robusto. If the door to the glass beer cabinets aren't locked, I'll be chasing a couple of these down with some Asahi Blacks... otherwise, Kona Fire Rocks. Maybe I'll see some more shooting stars while listening to Pandora.

The guy who comes in at midnight is always late, but somehow manages to keep his job. Maybe he'll be on time tonight.

So... I smoked all 3 of these tonight! Started off with the Epernay. It wasn't as easy of a draw as I had hoped, but it smoked well and was a very good taste... and it lasted for about an hour and a half! Only had to do a brief touch up... but it was breezier tonight that the last couple of nights.

After that I smoked the Nat Sherman 1930. Right off the bat it was an easy draw and very good flavor.

Finished up with the Tatuaje. It did not disappoint. Easy draw, lot of smoke, excellent flavor... as usual!

This was from just after midnight until about 3:30 in the morning.

So, during this time I was looking up for meteors. I counted 12 tonight. Most were very quick shots across the sky. But 2 of them were longer than the rest and were quite impressive. But then there was another one that was better than all. If I had had a 12 inch ruler held out at arm's length, it was at least that long and I could see the fireball and the long trail. That was the best one!

I live out in the middle of nowhere and get a good look at the stars sometimes... I don't stay up as late as I used to tho.... 😟

Sounds like a great night, our night sky sucks anymore with all the building going on in our county. The light wash is getting really bad.

Tonight I finally realized that the thin, long whisp of clouds between Scorpius and Sagittarius is not a cloud.

It's the milk way! The light fluffy clouds pass by, but this 'cloud' is always in the same place and follows the flow of the stars across the night sky. It isn't near as impressive as some of the time lapse videos I've seen on youtube from dark, high places... but it is still cool to realize...
