Greetings everyone, been lurking here for a little while. Anyhow I wanted to share another one of my passions, building cigar box guitars. This is my latest creation, a double necker acoustic/electric.

Pretty cool, man. Was it difficult? I've been wanting to do an acoustic one.

Slick! And welcome to another gitty maker. CruzJ, you can google plenty of instructions or get books-a basic gitty isn't hard at all but Governor set the bar a bit high. I've posted a few pics of my fairly basic ones made with a 1x2 piece of wood (hardwood from Home Depot), three tuning pegs and some hardware like eye bolts for the nut and bridge.

In the youtube video, what do you have the gitty tuned to? I normally open g mine (drop an A down to G, then D and G strings normal). Makes it an open g power chord, but I can't play anywhere nearly as well as you can.
