In other news, the moslems in Iraq are beheading 7 y/o girls & buried alive 500 people. Which story will dominate the airwaves the next full week?

I liked the guy a lot. He had the world by the balls. I guess his personal demons finally won. You'd think that someone who had it all, could overcome these sorta things. Life is a precious gift. I will never understand suicide, and my immediate family has been touched by this sort of thing.

Odd that my uncle & Robin Williams were very very much alike in many aspects.

Meanwhile, my wife is currently balling her eyes out.

RIP Robin Williams, you really made us laugh.

God bless those that overcome their personal demons, twice for those that have not.

yeah Gene. They both used the same method.

R.I.P. Funny Man.

I'll never forget when he burst on the scene on a Happy Days. The guys & I would laugh our butts off at school on days following episodes.

Miss him, he was funny.

To bad someone couldn't have helped revitalize his career like sandler did with winkler.

I grew tired of his schtick a long time ago. I wish he would have been more established as a dramatic actor. When he could put aside the whole crazy manic thing, he was a terrific actor.

RIP, Mr. Williams....I guess I'll go put on "Reality...What A Concept".

Now that I think of it, I remember going to see the movie Good Morning Vietnam with my Uncle ... He was in Vietnam & remembered Adrian Cronauer's broadcasts.

They say RW was suffering deep depression recently, just like my Uncle's final days. In the months leading up to his death, he turned from the most hilarious, 3 jokes a minute people that I'll never forget. He could walk into a room full of strangers & leave 30 mins later with everyone smiling & glad to have met him. I could sense something "wasn't right" the last 6 months of his life, when the constant jokes stopped, and for example, he would get curiously fixated on small things, like the bed of purple roses I was growing in my garden.

He blamed his depression of our losing my Granfather & Brother less than 2 years apart, and other things that we didn't find out about until after he took his life on my Grandfather's birthday.

One final note on Uncle Norm ... He was also Ex-CIA & aside from his jokes, he was also one of the most baddest MF-ers I've ever known.

I will forever blame the drug Zoloft, which is supposed to be an anti-depressant, but which is also very well documented in actually driving people to suicide.

I have to naturally wonder if Robin Williams was taking such medication. From a personal standpoint, and even if this is not the case in this situation, if anyone you know & love are taking such medications, please keep a close eye on them.
