Seems like san Lotano no longer available here on cbid? Haven't seem them here lately?.... First fuente and now these too? [ram27bat] Anyone seen them around here lately?

They started as an experiment for AJ fernandez with CI. They now are on Aj's main lineup in 3 sizes. The reviews I read highly recommended them to more experienced cigar smokers as they were powerful.

A few months back I was enjoying an afternoon at the shpo. As it so happens the AJ rep was there trying to sell the owner on stocking the San Lotanos. She balled because they were being sold online below her cost after excise taxes. The rep told her they were addressing that issue because they didn't feel enough were being sold online to justify the number of shpo's unwilling to carry them due to them being deeply discounted. But, who knows.

I believe they're done selling the AJs seconds as well, they were selling what they had left in stock and that was it.

San Lotano is one of the brands AJ is restricting with MAP. Sorry guys. Its gone the way of CAO, Fuente, General, Altadis, RP, etc.

The reason you see fewer seconds and overruns is because they don't set out to make them so there's a lag between the time we run out and the time they have enough to make shipping worthwhile.

I hadn't looked through auctions on here in a very long while but I needed butane, so I just got done going through them... it was a little disappointing... not a lot of great stuff left here, and the stuff I do like to buy is through the roof on their prices...

One of these days San Lotanos will be priced out of the range of the average cigar smoker like Cubans and Davidoffs. 😳

^ I'd consider myself to fit that description, well, almost. I may be a bit below average, honestly, but, many good ISOM's are not out of range, Davidoffs are way out of line, price wise.( IMHO)
