So, I headed down to the Vets Hall this afternoon and I fired up a Bucanero El Capitan. It was a very good smoke!

While I was smoking that and chatting with some people there, I noticed a cigar in the little ash tray cup we have out there. The band was burned half way through. Then I realized it was a Tatuaje. I was like... man.. what dufuss went and did that.

After the Bucanero I fired up an Illusione MK Ultra. Another fine smoke. As I was enjoying that I got to thinking back... and uh... lessee... I was here last night from midnight until about 3:30 am smoking cigars and drinking Kona. And... uh... wait a sec... the last cigar I smoked was a Tatuaje...

D'OH!! 🤦

Well, see... the patio is pretty dark and I don't turn on any extra lights. We just have a couple of porch lights around the corner... see... so, you know... uh.. and I had a few Konas you see.. and uh...

I showed this to a friend of mine and he pointed out, based on the ash that fell off there, I probably set it down just before it got to the band and it continued to burn just enough to get into the band before it stopped burning. As we all know, the Tatuaje bands are skinny.

So, that's my new story and I'm stickin' to it!

Of course, it still remains that I forgot to take the band off along the way as is my normal routine...


And I only put my cigars in that thing when I'm done and to give them time to got out before chucking them into the trash can.

Love the taste of a good paper band but don't like the Tat Reserva bands nearly as much. 🤦
