Hey Guys, My local B&M is having a Camacho event tomorrow. (believe it's going on at multiple locations). Never had any Camacho before so I'm looking for some recommendations. Not looking for big pepper blast or high nicotine kick. I do like the Perdomo corojo and thought maybe I'd try the Camacho Corojo. Any suggestions?

the connecticut ain't bad for a morning smoke, but I have no idea how the rest of them are since being reblended or revamped or whatever it is they called it when they made them into different cigars than they used to be...

Old Camacho and new Camacho are two totally different animals.

Haven't fully explored either, but the new ones I've had seem to cater to the big ring stronger is better I want to destroy my mouth crowd. The old Camacho I've had seem to embrace the idea of a well balanced smoke.

Really not unlike beers. The most popular are the face destroying ipas while a skillfully crafted pale ale goes unnoticed because it doesn't punch the consumer in the face

Old Camacho Corojos (Monarcas) are one of my favs...
Have not tried any new ones yet, although the reviews from a few of the botl here are not too encouraging.....
Camachos new "marketing" campaign I find lame......prolly just cause I'm old.................and stuff

Old Camachos are ANAZING. Full bodied, full flavored gems. Newer Camachos, not so much. They are big and bold with new packaging, but that's about it. I've smoked a couple of their new stuff and the flavor is okay at best, the nicotine punch is certainly there, but the draw us awful. Like drinking oil out of a straw. When i started smoking cigars one of my first sticks was a Camacho Corojo Ltd. and it was out of this world. U still have at least 10 resting in my humidor. The new Camacho doesn't do the brand justice. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But tell me how the event goes. Maybe i just had a bout of baf luck with their new stuff.

Not a fan of large ring sizes either. If you search for the Camacho Torch it Up link it shows, BBQs, contests, HD raffle, drink tasting, etc. The place near me is pretty small and I'm guessing will be nothing like what they are advertising, but still worth a drive by I guess. Maybe they'll have some older Camachos on hand.

Elpache, just to bore you with TMI on Camacho history 🌫...

Christian Eiroa was the creator the Camacho Corojo - which is a nearly perfect cigar IMHO. He gave the reigns of the company over to Davidoff a few years ago. Davidoff in turn, slowly changed all of the Camacho blends and launched a new campaign last year to showcase their new products (new bands, boxes, road show...), while Christian pursued his own new lines with his flagship cigar being the CLE. Nothing at ALL against the new Camacho blends, I've tried a couple and liked them a lot. But follow Christians work if you want cigars with the "old" Camacho flavor.

Class is over, you may now go smoke in the boys room.

The new Triple Maduro are still decent smokes. Read good things about the 2014 Liberty but haven't tried one yet.
