Our dog Buffalo was part lab, part rottweiler and supposedly coyote. He loved fetching things thrown into our pond so much he would always run and jump off the rocks into the water. Most of the time he jumped from a spot about five feet above the water. He would tuck his tail under to cover has balls for the landing. Breeds raised to retrieve from water just go nuts around water, it's in their DNA.

I didn't get to watch the video (blocked at work) but my lab/shepherd mix loves chasing anything! Watching the two of them is like watching a dog football game. Dutch is the pass rusher - barking and running toward the person holding the ball/stick. Jake runs after it and Dutch chases Jake, often running into him. Either that, or he waits until he brings it back and then the wrestle for it. But he doesn't whine for it. 🇨🇮
