Anyone else having trouble with tunneling this time of year? I'm not sure if it's my climate or what but it seems to happen to me in the fall.

Definitely a problem at our southern border.

Israel too. All year though. Every year in fact. Probably similar climate to yours.

I tend to have issues when it's humid or especially rainy days. Also I smoke slow. I suppose that contributes to it as well. Thicker wrappers seem more prone to me too...

Humidity sounds like the culprit to me too. Often when I'm smoking a yard gar and working, the cigar stays in my mouth when I use both hands resulting in many tunneling cigars. Some cigar brands and versions are more susceptible.

Definitely climate and humidity changes due to the season. Try dry-boxing for a few hours beforehand.

I had the issue in the summer and dropped to 65 rh and it seemed to work just fine

I knew this topic was going to devolve, lol

not much in the way of problems with tunneling per se, but I have noticed cigar moisture content issues when shifting to/from Ac/heating.

I think what happens (at least in my case) is that when the wineador cooling units run more, there is more condensation from cooling and that screws with the humidity level.

I'm very stable in winter, hit havoc when changing over to summer - pretty stable in summer, more instability but not so bad when shifting back to winter.

We keep the house at 68 in winter, and 74 in summer. While not too bad this year, summers can be brutal in SC and it's tough going in and out of the A/C if you keep it cooler.
