If you're cool with it, I'll take SF -3.5, and give you a chance to win some smokes back.

I like the same side as you do tonight, fluffy.

I'll be in Vegas next weekend, by the way. May not be posting here, but then again maybe I will. We'll see how it goes. If not then we can continue our wagering in week 8.

Right on. I haven't been to Vegas in too long. I may force a vacation there when I finish school.

If you need action and Vegas' desert dried you up come on home to the action. If not, see ya in wk 8

Funny you say 'school' -- I'm defending my thesis on Thursday morning, then driving to Las Vegas Thursday afternoon. By Sunday I will either have a wad of cash in my pocket, or be in desperate need of some luck on the football field.

Or, I guess, somewhere in between.

Thesis time can be stressful I've heard. My brother is too smart/arrogant to think it'd be stressful. I have another year before the coursework is done, then licensure.

Congrats on the end of hard work. Or is it on to dissertation?

No in between in Vegas sir. Nope, it's all in. At least that's how we east coasters view it

This is indeed the end of the hard work. Unless you count finding a job. It's a bit stressful but in my brain I know it will be fine. A vague, low-level uneasiness has been following me around for the last few weeks, though.

Literally the only thing I do in Vegas is play poker, and if it's Sunday, watch/bet on football. There will be wild swings in my bankroll, I'm sure, but I'm usually ahead by the time I leave. Usually.

What's your field?

I'm in the EE dept., so that's what my degree will say, but it's really more like Physics that I'm doing. I work with optical trapping, photonic crystals and self assembly.

And you?

Christian Counseling will be my main focus as holistic care and treatment planning but the license will be in practical counseling LPC. I'm gonna hold off there. I don't see doctoral work in my future.
