I love me some sweet potato casserole. Yum !!

I'm hoping for some deviled eggs today, and some decent dressing.

Not sure what's on the work menu scheduled for a few hours from now.

I have to wonder, is anyone out there in C-Bid land making a TurDucKen ?

At work we had Turkey, Dressing, Cranberry Sauce, Mac & Cheese, Green Beans, Dinner Rolls and more deserts than you can count.

Not a great menu, but better than nothing. Several years back they served us turkey sandwiches for Thanksgiving. That was a low that was thankfully never repeated. LoL

I hope everyone is stuffed as I am right now.

Go Eagles !!!

A bazillion people at the chow hall today, so I went to the little Burger King in our little snack bar area and got a Chicken Crisp sandwich and small fries.

But, for dinner, we're having a get together at the Vets Hall. Last night they were discussing who was gonna get up at 4:30 am and get the meat to cookin'... brisket, I think.

Man.. went down to the Vets Hall. They were cooking prime rib all day. We ate around 5PM. Awesome Thanksgiving dinner.

...with garlic mashed potatoes, green been casserole, cauliflower and broccoli, some sort of tomato/onion dish... great stuff.

And several pies. But, I didn't eat any pie.

Smoked some cigars. Started off with a Rocky Patel Royale. Then had a La Jugado Prieto. I've smoked a couple of those, but this was the first time I had a sense of cinnamon in a cigar. Smoked great. Had a Jericho Hill robusto. Ended up with an Alec Bradley, but I don't recall which 'model', but it was also very tasty. This was from like 2:30 in the afternoon until just a little bit ago at 11:30pm, when I turned off all the lights and locked the doors and headed home.

The worst ever....

Well the turkey was, undercooked, had to continue cooking most of the inner breast meat.

Wife forgot potato and had to make instant.

Gravy was watery, my fault as I was busy freaking out about turkey.

Dressing had way too much veal in it, but it was good enough.

Broccoli casserole was superb as was Brussels sprouts

Cranberry sauce great

Bears suck

Cowboys suck

Thank goodness for Prosecco.

The worst was too cold for a cigar after dinner!

We were all still grateful and that what counts.

Hope you were too!
