So far it's this double robusto because the perfection 5 was my favorite for taste but this smokes similar with more smoke time for the buck. Still need to spark some of the others I have but wowzers

Never smoked an Opus...have a couple that were gifted by some generous BOTLs from here but haven't had the special occasion to light them up.

Super Beli, Robusto because those are the 2 sizes I have ashed. Lancer in the Destino line was good and the Beli in the lost city as well.

Petit lance, followed by the xXx. Very good, but definitely overrated and overpriced.

Any of them with 5+ years on them........especially the PL and the #5.Once you try them well aged you'll change your mind about being over priced.

the OpusX Forbidden X 13 is one i really enjoyed, but i am aging the majority of mine as well and waiting until i get 10 or more years on them. i would agree that the market for these are crazy over priced when i see people pay $30-50 a stick, it just blows my mind. this is no where near that quality of stick, but i guess if you really love them you gotta do what you gotta do.

on a side note, has anyone gotten to smoke a maduro opus? i only ran across one and havent smoked it yet, just curious as to the treat i am in for when the special occasion comes.

I'm a big fuente fuente fan...but yes they need age! I've found that the pl and #4's smoke rather well after a few years. But it does take patience and not every one wants to wait so I see both sides. As for the maduro the new ones aren't that good I have one from 97 I'm still waiting to revisit
