only ones I have had were from a tin of 3 robustos a few years ago. Had one right away and thought nothing special. Had another 6 months later and thought pretty decent. Had the third one year later and loved it. Wish I had waited on all 3 til now!

Yup. They, along with some other ultra premiums, make up the bottom row of my desktop. The occasion has not presented itself yet. Dunno what occasion would need to be either. Got some fancypants beers in the cellar that are the same way too, just can't bring myself to consume them because when it's gone, it's gone.

Hope we all don't regret waiting for that special day...got a variety of cigars that are being saved for a "special occasion." Knock on wood...

The super beli is my favorite. My son and I smoked them when his son, my first grandson, was born. The circumstances made that one extra special.

I am of the same opinion that I have not run onto the situation that matches my expectations, and the price point of the Fuente line. I have only recently allowed myself to ash a liga pravada.

I have patiently been sittimg on a 2008 Cohiba cc and am almost afraid to ash it because of the value. Heck I dont spend 20 bucks on dinner for myself. I have spent too many years trying to feed a bunch of meedy kids and widows. 20 bucks will feed them for a month. I have had a few months where ,20 bucks had to feed me and my wife oñ missions

I am waiting to ash my only Opus with my wife when we finally settle into a house. I am going to buy a box for my crew when I retire, they deserve it. I should get the box and start aging it now.

For those who only have one like me, get a second one with some age on it and ash it soon, you have no guarantee of tomorrow.

Contrary to popular opinion, I like the dry opus.

I have enjoyed every opus that I have smoked, but my favorite ever was the first one that I had. It was a Fuente Fuente size, which is the Cuban corona gorda size.

It was my favorite because it was the first cigar that my wife ever bought for me, and I smoked it on our anniversary in an Irish tavern in Deadwood, SD.

I got a handful of Opus, local shop had them in stock (authorized dealer) so I picked up a few. They are still young, but I couldn't resist and tried one anyway. It was alright, but for the price, meh.

I'm hoping you guys are right on the aging part, maybe I'll try another one next year.

Anejos on the other hand, I love those things. Haven't tried a young one yet, but the same shop owner had some Anejos he's been sitting on for a year, so it already had some age on it.

Stinger sent me an Anejo too in his help a noob campaign (haven't smoked it yet, but I will).

Shop owner said I should age the Anejos before smoking them too, so I'm hoping Opus are good after a year, I know the Anejos will be.

Seen it before. Just didn't know if he'd really smoked one. Just a rare thing is all. But then again I've picked up a couple extremely rare smokes that might make people think twice.

I do plan on aging quite a bit of these. As soon as I get into the position I'm going to aim for a few boxes of cc and nc each for a few years and see where that stock lands me.
