I felt bad about listening to the game at work in public on my phone through the GA Tech App, but it was the biggest game of the year. When I hollered we won, 100 passengers started cheering !!! After crying tears of joy, yelling THWG, singing the fight song, I had to get back to work. It sure felt good to rib anyone I saw wearing UGA gear today.

By the way, my old school West GA, who I played on their Div. III National Championship Football Team, has advance to the Div. II playoffs with a record of 11-2 ... Next week they face Valdosta State who whipped West GA 40-6 earlier in the season.

Go West !! Go Wolves !!

FSU is on notice, but I expect them to play bored like they've done all season. Tech very well might win that game, but either outcome won't surprise me. I'm expecting Tech to stop the win streak. Either way, it should be a good game. After that, it's on to the Orange Bowl !!

Damn, another ACC rant!

Guess the Jackets deserve it after waiting 5/6 years for a victory and will admit that they won it on the field.

The AP Top 25 Poll was just released. GA Tech moves up to #12 in the nation. Not bad for a team who's pre-season poll was picked to finish #5 in the conference. As a Lifetime Tech Fan, we're used to the disrespect. Go Jackets !!

ACC whomped all the SEC teams they played yesterday. Tech beat UGA, FSU beat FLA, Louisville beat Kentucky, and Clemson beat South Carolina.

So much for SEC dominance. HAHAHAHA! Icing on the cake... USC whooped Notre LAME.

They were yesterday.

Pac 12 ain't too shabby... Oregon, UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State, all ranked in the top 25. USC not too far out and after whooping ND, may be back in.

All the SEC fans said another team had to win it to get them to shut up. Another team won it... but they haven't shut up.

I would hope that 4 ranked teams from the ACC would handle one ranked team and three other teams with records no better than 6-5. I will mention that the four teams dominated were from the SEC east.

As of today, the SEC has seven teams in the AP top 25. Six from the west and one from the east.

Time will tell.

HD, I don't think FSU can beat any of the other teams in the top 4. Alabama, Oregon and TCU would likely beat them on a neutral field. Hell they may lose to Ga Tech.

If I was a betting man, I would not bet against Alabama right now.

The narrative was created last summer that Alabama wins the national championship while FSU struggles with off-field distractions. The problem is FSU won't play along and lose so the polls have found it necessary to drop them anyway. Every week every team shows up against FSU knowing it is their biggest game of the year and bigger than their bowl game. Still nobody has managed to pull the upset. Maybe it will be Georgia Tech...they've got as good a chance as anybody else and they whole nation will be Tech fans next week.

FSU isn't as good as last year. They put 13 players on NFL rosters through the draft or free agent contracts. That takes time to replace. From what I've seen the other top teams took a step back also except maybe Oregon and they still managed to lose a game already. The one thing this year that seems clear is bet FSU to not cover the point spread.

I'm not sure how it works with Alabama because if they lose it is a "quality loss" and I think that still counts as a win. Their trophy is already engraved with three games left!

I've been rooting for them all season, quietly. I like that they came back and beat Auburn last year, and with all the hate on Winston, the kid just keeps on winning.

He makes some bonehead plays, but then he does something that makes you scream "Holy sh*t, did you see that!?"

I hope he gets to the NFL and does well.

I think Winston's NFL stock dropped this weekend even though they still have him and Mariota going as top 5 picks. He laid an egg against the gators and now needs a major rebound game or three.

A huge difference this year is no deep passes. The receivers are young are every team double covers the deep guys. The running game was non-existent for the first half of the year so it is actually a dink & dump offense now. Too bad Kelvin Benjamin left as a junior but who can blame him since he's doing fine in the NFL. The formula for playing FSU this year isn't nearly as hard as last year but nobody has pulled it off yet.
