Alright brothers of the almighty stogie, I need a little help. I want to make a clock for a retired Pastor, I need help on finding a box that has a cross or anything religious. Please, don't get all holy or anti-holy on me, he's a nice guy and he deserves something that he relates to. Has to be something recent that I'll be able to purchase, I'm gonna keep the smokes (I'll probably give him a couple though, I'm nice that way 😇 ). Any help would be great.

Illusione Cruzado is probably the closest.

Hello Chewmaize,
If you look at my avatar, you will notice it is just an Ave Marie band. I have a few dozen bands if they can be of use. I checked the box the cigars came in, but there is no special markings on the box itself, BUT, it has this cool metal (looks like pewter) clip that goes over the edge. If they could be of use to you, let me know.

The Ave Maria Reconquista box looks like a winner. But it may be too small.

At least the hands are positioned in the right spots to enhance the dial, 10:08 is the time you want when showing and selling watches, clocks.
Outside of that not a bad looking clock.

I also got a box of Ave Marie Holy Grail stashed away. I just checked it out. It is square...8.25 inches and is a little over 1 inch thick. Across the front in gold is HOLY GRAIL. There is the paper seal on the lower left corner that is 4 x 3.25 inches. On the seal is big shield with a big cross - Crusader type look to it.

That's true, also frames the (most) brands names, looks balanced as well.

Maybe it's just me, I don't know, but I can't stand putting any kind of numbers around a cigar box clock. Maybe on a wall clock......and that's a big MAYBE. To me, it just takes away from the box. The clock is actually secondary to the box, in my humble opinion. 12/3/6/9.....if you can't tell the time with just those numbers, get a digital clock and start smoking cigarettes. 🌫

^ totally your choice in regards to numerals, you're the designer!
The size of the box will determine if you want to "4 quarter" the dial or numbered. That looks like a big box in that photo, you could try a number 12 at the top then indexes (in your case, cases) at 3/6/9.
The watch I'm wearing today has 2/4/6/8/10/12, you have a myriad of options.
Good luck, I look forward to your wall clocks.

The wall clocks are in the very near future. I have a couple of large cigar boxes ("normal boxes") that I'm going to work with. I'll keep ya'all posted. I have a couple of table clocks that I've made that'll I'll post in the Trade section soon also. Still collecting boxes for the Grandfather Clock Project. Have a lot of coles in the fire, but it keeps me busy.

I made a trade with Chewie this past weekend for one of his cigar box clocks. It really is a cool piece of tobacciacana. It won't be the only clock I get from him and I can't wait to see where his imagination goes with this idea.
