Any ideas?
I have not asked Ram ...
The computer is working... the screen isn't.
I push the power-on button, and nothing happens.
There is a light on the rear casing that's on. I unplugged the cpu & the light went off. Plugged it back in, and the light came on.

That light indicates trickle power used to turn on relays for the main power. At least part of your power supply is working.
Nothing, as in no fans, no beeps, no noise = nothing. Or just it won't boot?
If it's the former, likely causes are that it could be a bad power supply, failed relay on the board or a bad switch on the casing/shell. Maybe even something as simple as a ball of lint stuck behind the power switch. I've seen this a lot in dusty environments and computers of dog/cat owners.
If it's the latter, there are many possibilities.
Do you have a hammer..?? 😕

Dust and pet hair. They cleaned it out and it was fine.
Now every 3 mos I open it up and blow it out with a can of compressed air.
TIGER
I'll give that a shot, and hope it works.
Thanks.

Could be a bad power supply, relay on the board, loose connector or bad / blocked switch.
Hard to diagnose which one, or if it's something else, from a distance.
You can pull the power cord, disconnect the wiring on the back, open the case up and blow all the dust, dirt and lint out if you have an air compressor, or even a vacuum where you can direct the exhaust with a hose. Or go buy a can of electronics/camera duster aka "dust-off" "canned air" etc. Make sure to blow out around the switch.
While you have it open you can disconnect and reconnect the cabling to board just in case something isn't making good contact or has worked itself loose over time due to vibration and temp changes. Only do one cable at a time so you don't mix stuff up. Most cables are keyed in some fashion so that they only fit one way, but there might be a few that aren't so observe the orientation of the connector carefully.
Past that, if you know how to test a switch with a meter, you can check the power switch for proper operation, but that's about it unless you have a spare power supply to swap in and see what happens.
It might be destined for a shop.
Thanks
Put another quarter in it. It's like the pony ride at the pizza joint, ya gotta feed it once in a while.

LOL. About 15 years ago, back when HP printers only had 2-line displays, it was great fun to hack their network interface and reprogram the display to read "INSERT 25 CENTS" instead of "READY" and wait for people's reactions.
:-s
You're a hacker ?
Nope.
