Box has landed, via the hand off from Greg.

Greg hit me with some fantastic cigars. Thanks for the meet up Greg, I enjoyed it. And the cigars look great.

I will get this out no later than Monday. (gotta say there are some very generous guys in this thing. )

Handed off to Jeremy tonight. Great meeting up as always. Had a La Palina Black with Mount Gay XO. Good booze, good cigar, good company.

Maybe we can all meet up at your place when the pass is done, and jump in your hot-tub. There's a great little deli nearby that has some pretty good sausages I can bring.

Today was as good as any to smoke my review cigar. Its a 4x42ish petite corona with a milk chocolate in color wrapper and a triple cap. Its cold out so the garage is freezing and this is just the right size smoke for today. Since this is a smaller type cigar I am splitting this into halves instead of thirds.

1/2 The initial draw gives me some earth notes with a touch of pepper and cedar on the finish. There is also some real strong note that I cannot figure out what it reminds me of but I do like it. Pepper picks up shortly into the smoke. I would say this is starting out as a med/full and trending into the full area. Main notes i am getting are earth and chocolate now with pepper taking over the finish. I knock the white ash off at about the 3/4 inch mark even though it was holding strong.

2/2 Not much change heading into this half except the pepper has dialed down quite a bit. The burn line has been razor sharp throughout the smoke. I did get a crack in the wrapper but I would think the freezing temp had a lot to do with that and it didn't effect it at all. Coming to the end of the smoke the flavors have smoothed out really nicely with chocolate taking over the profile. I would say even though I thought this cigar was going to turn into a full it never did and would rank it in the med/full range.

I really enjoyed this cigar and it was a perfect smoke for today. About 10 minutes into the smoke I thought it was maybe a Diesel of some sort or an AJ blend with some age but it smoothed out so nicely by the end I am not sure I have had an AJ blend that has done that. Not really sure what it was except good cause I don't think I have had this smoke before. Thanks for the pass and the smoke to review Wombat it was fun.
