A recent study found the average golfer walks about 900 miles a year.

Another study found golfers drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year.

That means, on average, golfers get about 41 miles to the gallon.

Kind of makes one proud......... Almost feel like a hybrid.

Friday through Sunday I played 5 rounds and hit two buckets at the driving range. The weather finaly broke here in Texas and I'm breaking in my new irons. And now I feel sorry for anyone that doesn't have a set of Ping clubs.

The down side? Now I might want to upgrade my wedges.

Ok, so the rounds we on the "executive" course.

It was still a lot of work.....

Even though our mileage is good, we're still dumping clouds of smoke around the course.

It is difficult to remember what a tragic place the world is while playing a round of golf.

Particularly with a good cigar.
