Is it a Dachshund?

I've always wanted to be like a cowboy and get a long little doggie.

I'm your vehicle baby

I'll take you anywhere you wanna go

I'm your vehicle woman

By now I'm sure you know

That I love you (love you)

I need you (need you)

I want to, got to have you child

Great God in heaven, you know I love you

That song really rocks out. I've always been a big fan of horns in rock music (B,S and T, Chicago, Tower of Power, Chase, etc), and these guys are not exception. The band is "Ides of March" and they have been around for 35 or so years. This song hit number two in 1970. They're a Berwyn Illinois band. A lot of their songs people hear and mistake for Blood, Sweat and Tears.

I was rockin' out to this when I posted it.

Have you seen the stars tonight?

Would you like to go up on A-deck and look at them with me?

One of my top 5 favorite songs. Really cool sound. Kinda creepy lyrics, expecially now that I have a 14 year old daughter.

Paul Kantner never sang a lead for Airplane/Starship, however he wrote most of the music. Heck of a dude.

What amazes me about that era is how everybody played on everybody else's albums: Starship/CSN/Browne/Simon/Nicks/Eagles/Taylor/King... A great time to listen, but an even better time to play.
