FYI the link I provided does not require filling out a survey or anything more than your mailing address. No auto renew either. You'll get plenty of mail asking you to please renew, of course. It is also not a referral of any kind.

YW, I don't think I've ever paid for CA, I've used a link like this every year.

I've been getting it from Reward Survey too and got a ton of points as most their choices are womens magazines. Hmm gives me an idea: how many chick mags do I need to send Trish and her crew before I get upgraded to Platinum Membership? Dharbolt you with me?

I wouldn't say there are draw backs, just things to be aware of. If you up clicked the box they won't give your info out and with mine, if you don't cancel before the end of the subscription they auto renew with the card info you gave. Those were what I took away from the fine print, I would read yours to see if there are any little things that they do that you would want to know about is all I am saying.

For the link I provided, you do not give them your card information and they do not auto renew. They do send you a ton of mail offering you "special" discounts to renew of course.

But in general you should definitely watch for this tactic. When I come across one like this, I make a future event on my phone calendar a few days before the auto renew so that I can remember to turn it off.

I have an email address that I use only for offers like this with no real-world data, so even if they do share or sell it, its not a big deal. I did sign up for this though so thanks for the link.
