17 cigars over 4 days, and being allowed to smoke just about anywhere I pleased - yeah I had to buy a few singles, including a bundle of Vato's Cigars from Binion's. Fug'n sin tax on tobacco in Nevada is brutal and may be worse than CO! All I can say is $17 for an AF Short Story Maduro at Casa Fuente - really! Smoked most at a few billiard rooms and the $5 blackjack tables.

An awesome trip, but I'd probably never go back to Vegas. Freemont Street is freak-show central!

Couldn't help but notice the Green Cross under the Walgreens' sign on Freemont. Apparently Walgreens' does sell the medicinal MJ, but ironically they won't sell any tobacco. Will we see the Green Cross on the CVS & Rite-Aid signs as well???

Didn't find the food to be as great as what I had hoped. And we ate at some fine 4 & 5 star local restaurants (not just in the casino's). To me, the Casino's offered a lot of chain and corporate backed eateries that can be had throughout the country - blah!. Was hoping for more unique offerings. But the group overall is not into food. Final meal was an Italian bistro. Off the path they offered us dining "in the kitchen" to avoid a long wait-time for formal seating since no one could decide early enough to make a reservation. In my family's tradition, being asked to eat in your host's kitchen is more like being asked to join the "family" for a meal, than having dinner at the table in the home. There's better service and the entrée is served fresh by anyone, instead if waiting for a server to serve it to you. Not all agreed.

Hawaii lacks some of those common Mainland chains so it's kind of a treat to eat at them. Chipotle, In 'n Out, M&M Soul Food and Sammy's LA Pastrami to name a few. The Oyster Bar in Palace Station is also a personal favorite (...it's not part of a chain but it's a "gotta go" for me...). I think too the cost of food in LV is cheap compared to Hawaii.
