So what would your actions have been? I'm really open to suggestions on how this could have been handled better. I may disagree with them ultimately (or agree with them ultimately) but I'm definitely open to suggestions.

As for the fun... everyone needs a little excitement in their lives. Running head first into an unknown situation can be fun and exciting. Sure there's a potential risk, but seriously... that's what makes life worth living.

If I know I have to do something, if the situation appears to have only one viable outcome (granted, didn't sit down and ponder it for an hour, so I could have been wrong), then you do what's necessary and you do it in the manner that will give you the most entertainment. (Sort of the same philosophy I have with my posts on cbid).

Do you let something like that influence your actions? Sounds like a bit of a weak way to go through life... deciding to do something based on whether you think the person has more firepower than you or not.
