I think Hummingbirds are fascinating...When I visit my mom in AZ, she has a couple of feeders and I like to spend time watching the cute little birds dance around the feeders and hover in mid-air and WHAM!!!!!...Homerun!!!!!

Rick - I was at the San Diego Zoo yesterday ... saw a hummingbird ... sprayed him with mace and he actually landed and stayed still so I could take a picture ... would you like for me to post it for you? I hear (have heard) that it's very rare to see one just land and stay still ... and I'm happy to post the pic for you .... and ... at least I 'think' it was a hummingbird ....

You know this ... but don't ever use honey water.

It gives them mouth and throat tumors ...

Hey Rick - why don't you try some of that new NICOTINE & WATER solution that the FDA is trying to ban ... I know hummingbirds don't smoke ... but I think that the only reason they're coming around you is because they've gotten addicted to side-stream cigar smoke ... soooooo - if you mix the Nicotine Water with Honey - you'll get more hummers than you know what to do with ... (waiting to see the responses on this one) ...
