^What about the other QB's who have admitted to doing the same thing?

Are they on teams that have been repeatedly caught cheating, then got no punishment because their owner handpicked the comissioner?

There's a reason the other owners are pissed.

nobody, NOBODY, for one second believes that Tom suddenly started cheating for the Colt's game...

is your devotion seriously that blind?

you think we all think tommy boy is God, except for that one game against the colts where he caved to the desires of his mortal flesh?

him and bellycheck have been manipulating the rules and pissing on the integrity of the game for a loooong time...

I was hoping someone would take the bait and talk about this being done for a "long time".

Even the league is looking at the timeframe after the October Jets game, because that's when the lack of any firm procedure resulted in footballs at 16 PSI.

Thanks again for making my point that the only info understood out there is from the mainstream.

Because the Patriots as an organization has only been caught once in spygate. And as for your "no punishment" comment, unless you consider the largest fine ever and draft picks as "nothing" then you might need to restate your point.

Now please let the grown ups have our discussion.

TW,

Read page 8. I can't cut/paste from the pdf.

Goodell states in that legal document that Brady spoke/texted his equipment guy to discuss "the superbowl".

Which is funny.

Because now that the testimony is released, Brady clearly stated that he contacted Jastremski to talk about preparing for the superbowl, but also "obviously" about the deflated balls.

It is clear as day.

Yet you have stated within this thread that Goodell would be in trouble if he lied in this document.

Well, as you'll see on page 8/9 with footnote 6, he's a damn liar and his words are meant to misdirect the truth.

Ooops.

And there is more interesting reading about the Jets game balls that I mention previously.

Brady started his ball OCD after that game when the refs clearly OVER inflated the balls.

This is fun.

Jamie is.

And Jim Irsay.

And maybe John Harbaughs boss.

And Jerry Jones is happy because Kraft told him to suck it up when he got screwed with that luxury tax on the non-capped season.

But no one else.

And this paddle ball game.

And this lamp.

But nothing else.

C'mon sh*t head.

opelmanta1900 wrote:

yes, Pat's fan here...

Just want to reply that there is a huge difference between gamesmanship and integrity of the game. The league's upper management and owners willing to sign the most despicable people have already removed any integrity before games are even played. They didn't even care enough about inflation (that Holy Rule) to have protocol in place.

That's it for integrity. Not applicable, hypocritical for the NFL to even use the word in the handbook.

Gamesmanship... if you mess around for a year or three, just to distract other teams from the task at hand, you're an irritating POS but you do get under their skin. Like Red Auerbach lighting "victory cigars", you put the focus on everything EXCEPT your team on the field/court. Or Belichick putting Brady on the injury report for a decade every week to protest a stupid rule designed to give away info before kickoff and create more stoopid "parity".

Some lesser lights coaching other teams get caught up in this stuff and then Red or Bill owns the mental aspect before kickof/tipoff. That's a big edge and every smart (not dumb) coach has some ploy to gain the initial edge (my football coach said it was a must to wallop the crap out of the other guy on the first play and then own him all day).

But have a nice long run, like a decade or more, and people start to feel stupid, and then duped, and then believe that something MUST be wrong. Rules change to hurt your team (look up the Ty Law rule, hope you love defensive pass interference). Or your team gets no relief when your #1 draft pick dies (Len Bias), or your superstar in waiting dies (Reggie Lewis) but opponents get breaks/draft picks because Jordan retires or McDyss hurts his knee! Really?

Success breeds contempt, it has always been thus. Ball inflation rates? Really? Suddenly? Couldn't come up with a bigger reason to explain why the Pat's have been so dominant? This is all the haters have to hang their hats on? This is the big cheating scandal and people here write that they never won without cheating?

Pitiful.

Macs the answer to your question is out there paticulatly with the Rodgers nonsense. It's really a non starter if you really think about it.

98.2% probably hated them before any of this overblown nonsense. Now they have a cause to bleed for, as though this is why they hate.

I say beat them on the field. Ignore the gamesmanship that is intentionally used to distract.

It was widely reported that 4 team owners called the Comish to uphold the ruling.

And you're being obtuse, other teams have been punished more on ONE count of breaking rules than the Pats have who repeatedly cheat.

Again Sean Payton GOT A 1 YEAR SUSPENSION and had NO involvement in Bountygate where nobody was proven to have gotten injured as a direct result of the bounties.

Bill should get a year out. Brady should get a year out. Their Superbowl should be taken away. And Kraft should have to publicly apologize for owning a cheating organization.

You've bought the leagues and the mainstream media's version of reality, and have unable to distance yourself now that the truth is showing the league lied and twisted and manipulated you.

To borrow a term from a fool I know, your blind faith is astonishing.
