Looks like Judge Berman is hitting the NFL hard because the Well's report is a sham.

Oh, and ESPN just used that precious 12:20 am time slot to publicly apologize to the Patriots for perpetuating one of their many lies against the Patriots in the wake of the spygate "scandal". (timely, considering the "walk through" fib was revealed as false back in 2008).

So now that Chris Mortenson has removed his 8 month long twitter post regarding the inaccurate football psi, it seems that others are following suit. Those pesky facts keep ruining a good story. Damn those Patriots and their fans for letting the truth reveal itself as an apparent bias. We should have known better.

I smell an "I told you so" brewing...

?

In a vacuum?

I'm actually doing the complete opposite.

In a vacuum, the "deflator" moniker is proof enough to punish Brady.

But we're not in a vacuum.

There is an allegation, and an investigation.

The investigation is where the league fails. Because the math doesn't add up. The balls are only low if you ignore the referee's "Best recollection" about which pressure gauge he used pre-game. The same ref that is afforded accolades for his honesty, and is completely believed when he said the Pats balls were 12.5 and the Colts were 13.0.

In a vacuum, we don't need any proof, just accusations.

But in reality, for Brady to be guilty, there has to be a crime.

OJ isn't guilty if Nicole is not murdered.

Show me that the balls were too low and we can talk about Brady's involvement.

Because the data in the Well's report is insulting to anyone who understands documentation.

As for the leagues actions? The NFL doesn't (or didn't) hate the Pats. That's paranoia by Patriot Nation.

This is simply a commissioner who has failed to do the right thing time after time, and needs to prove he is right at any expense. Because even if Brady secretly told Goodell he cheated, and then banged his wife, there is no excuse for the excessive penalty on the team and the player. But this is a separate discussion.

OJ was not guilty of killing Nicole according to the courts so I think you just contradicted your own argument on this one.

I think he means that if there is no crime (pretend Nicole was not murdered) then OJ is not guilty...just like if there really was no deflating of balls, Brady can not be guilty.

And to be clear there are people to this day that think OJ didn't do it, Armstrong never cheated, obammys birth certificate is fake and the Easter Bunny isn't real and doesn't come into children's bedrooms to touch them funny once a year.

You will never convince them.

The Pats have never cheated nearly to the degree of all the other teams. There is a whole website sit up with scientifical facts to prove this.

I do agree with tail though on one thing. Richard Sherman actually convinced me. The punishment of Brady is too much and needs to be reduced. The $$ lost from the suspension is more than the team has to pay. That ain't right. Either reduce it to I've game or keep it 2-4 and pay him for them.

The overly harsh penalty is a separate issue, although it does support the idea that the league was so intent on proving that they aren't bedfellows with Kraft and his team that they chose to ignore facts and reason.

Forget OJ. I intended to make a point, not divert your attention in a different direction with something shiny.

Just remember WHY you think the balls were deflated.

Because Mort reported that 11 of 12 were 2 psi low.

And the league let it fester in your imagination for over 4 months.

An overly harsh penalty could mean a number of things other than that as well. And all kidding aside I do think the penalty is too harsh on Brady relative to the one on the pats.

The hysterics are my favorite part. Mort reported something wrong and the fact the nfl didn't refute it means anyone who believes the pats did anything wrong means they are slaves of the media but if you stand behind the pats you are informed.

No, it’s because your coach is an arrogant prick and you are constantly bending the rules and then get all pissy when you get caught breaking them.

teedubbya wrote:

that is pure BS.

The report from Chris Mortenson is the ONLY evidence revealed until the Well's Report was released.

Without Mort, the NFL would be investigating a simple team complaint, which is apparently a very common thing across the league.

Instead, we are told, and Brady is told, that 11 of 12 balls are 2 psi low.

Red Herring? It's the entire story up until the Well's report is released.

So tell me, other than the Mort thingy, what did you base your opinion that Brady and the Pats cheated?

Maybe the media reports?

You know. The one's based on the Chris Mortenson lie.

That went un-corrected by the NFL.

I point out the absurdity because that is the sole piece of "evidence" that was allowed to simmer for months.

But bending the rules is not the same as breaking them.

The arrogant coach was exonerated in the Well's report, so leave him out of it.

Brady has 15+ years of upstanding citizenship in the league. Doesn't beat his wife. Doesn't do drugs. Doesn't mouth off to the media. Says the right things. Attends the right events. Gives to the right charities.

But he gets accused of cheating and all of a sudden it's the biggest blow to league integrity in the history of football. And you're ready to hang him without hearing the facts. Because to listen to the facts is to appease the petulant Patriot fans.

C'mon Buckster. You know better than that.

Hell, your boy A-A-Ron likes to pump it up. What if he was accused without any facts? Would you just accept that he's guilty because a fabricated report was allowed to sit in the media spotlight for months?

I know you wouldn't.
