Wife left for Indy bout an hour ago. Home alone for a few days.

Birthday Saturday, but I'll be working, she said she might be home by then. Hope so, cause she left me with no food.

Family is going to be a wreck, and Im always the stiff upper lip/shoulder to cry on the for the family so its going to be a very mentally exhausting time for the next few weeks.

Next week I go in for my first VA appointment in 2 years to get a full MRI done on my back and knee, so they can be documented for the disability process.

i know you are hoping to get disability

and i read some posts where you state you needed some donations to buy groceries

maybe you should skip the smokes and beer for a little while and throw some chedda in the bank

We'll be fine one this check hits. We just had the perfect storm.

My wife and I are normally on point when it comes to the budget, just had a bunch of unexpected things hit the account that wiped us out. This check will put us back in the black, with enough to start rebuilding that savings.

The cigars and beer aren't a need for me, I just have a website I'm building reviewing the things, doing pairings etc, and I make two posts a week (I have friends doing other articles the rest of the time) so a custom six pack ($11.00) and a handful of sticks lasts me a long while, as I don't drink outside of 1 beer on a Saturday and the occasional social drink.

The cigars? Those are my vice, and I've gotten half decent especially with places like this making a dollar stretch a good bit.

That being said, I absolutely appreciate the concern, I tend to be fairly surly and introverted so outside of a select few I don't really have folks to vent to around on a regular basis outside of the wife, and she puts up with me enough as it is and I needed to vent this week because of that perfect storm that hit us.

Yea, my wifes a trooper, the embodiment of "Better or worse" and I cover the "Sickness or health" as bad luck tends to follow me, and she always has some health issue.

We're a good match, she has my back and I have hers. We've made it through things way worse than this before, and we know we're at coming to the end of the rough times.

And made tacos for future food.

Hate when she leaves me without food. End up buying/making/eating 3x as much as if there were food ready in the fridge.

After putting in my resignation, I figured I'd get awful assignments for the last 2 weeks. Sure enough... dreading tomorrow already

Might just say F it at the end of this week and tell them I'm done. Not gonna put up with this b.s.

I did. I bought an already cooked rotisserie chicken and ate it while I cooked a pound of pork for tacos n soaked some beans ill cook tomorrow.

But, would've just had a sammich or something instead. Bought sammich stuff too. I'm set for the rest of the week now.
