So... I really don't know any of you people. You're just a bunch of people that share my enjoyment of cigars... as long as they smoke great, produce a lot of smoke, and taste good.

But, my Dad was a Korean war veteran. And then he was a Dallas Policeman for 21 years. That was a long time ago now. I just found out that he died yesterday at 84. Funeral is Sunday. I won't be there, but that's ok. I've already talked to my family. I'll be there in October. Just needed to share that with someone... Thanks...

My mom recently passed at 87 and am now dealing with the fact that my dad is going on 91. Aging parents bring to our attention our own mortality. It is where you know the inevitable is going to happen and you cant do anything about it and when it happens you are unprepared for it. It doesn't matter whether it is expected or sudden. Memories rush back and you feel emotions you didnt think you had. Try to use this experience in a positive way. It will take time. My condolences.
