Hello all. I'm a newb here and have a couple questions. I'm relatively new to cigars (been a flavored cigar smoker for a while), recently my palate changed to enjoy the finer non-flavored variety.

1- What is the best place to start to build credibility?
2- Will members trade with someone using an APO (currently in Afghanistan).
3- Anyone wanna help with a brief description how some of these trades work. I been reading through a couple and think i understand for the most part...
Thanks ahead of time for the help. I'm sure ill get bashed on as a newb as well but I can handle it 🇨🇮

Trading here isn't hard. Most are willing to trade with APO guys. Many here (myself included) are former military or currently serving. Thank you for your service, BTW.
First, establish yourself. A brief introduction always helps. Post replies on other threads, in other words, some activity. Check out the noob trade thread.
Anyway, welcome to the madness, and enjoy yourself.

I appreciate it. I definitely will be active here. I have more than enough free time to be active in the forum.
About me, I'm 28 in the National Gaurd (PA). I'm the Commander of my unit here. It's fun. The best part about me being here is the Cigar Night on Fridays. I help run the cigar night we sell ($5 each) all kinds of cigars to troops that we buy on here. We have a huge crowd that just comes out to smoke/buy cigars mingle. What profit is made is going to be donated to the Wounded Warriors when the cigar night finally ends. We have a facebook page Kandahar Koughers Cigar Club. Feel free to check it out.
Anyway if anyone wants to know more please ask away! I plan to start trading soon enough. I look forward to joining the "madness".

Also, check out Operation From the Heart, OPFTH. They send stuff, incl. cigars, to the troops. Get on their list.
A few years ago, when I was in Iraq, we had the Victory Cigar Club, Slayer Cigar Club, and Cropper Cigar Club. I was the secretary for VCC and helped run our events. I also joined the others. VCC met every 2 left me time to go to the others meetings. Like yours, our gatherings had many attendees - from Generals to PVTs. We had a connection with one of the dining facilities and would have food at VCC meetings. A good time was had by all. All we were missing was REAL beer.

For a brief period I was in the 2-104 under the 56th Stryker Brigade. Good luck on the deployment and I'm down for a trade with the bloody bucket anyday.

Althought I would greatly appreciate it... The amount of things they caught it isnt worth the risk. I hear stories all the time from the postal people about that kind of stuff being caught. Thanks for the offer though 🍺

^^definitely not worth the risk for the booze. Cigars are no problem. Is there still a Dutch PX and a French shop on KAF? I used to get my supply of CCs there.

What happens if you get caught? I sent a bunch of scotch to my buddy on a carrier last xmas. Glad I/he didn't get caught I guess.

Stinger they are both gone. A lot has changed on KAF. The Cigar nights fridays is the only place to get cigars.

Namadio- some people may get away with it but if your caught its ucmj... so it isn't worth it. I appreciate the offer though. I have a nice bottle of JW black label awaiting my return home.

Roger that, Sir. UCMJ sucks. Even if its legal in Thailand its still illegal.
