Ok I am slightly interested in smoking a pipe but have no idea about any of it to be honest. I have bought some baccy for a raok to some fog that no longer participates on here but it was through recommendations. Well I would like to give it a try but thought someone on here would know what to start out with best. I am not looking for a big trade just a small trade to see if I will even like it to begin with (would hate to see someone waste good baccy on my if I am not a fan of it).

Let me know what it will take to get a decent starter kit in cigar terms and I will gladly trade.

Buy a quality cob. Missouri Meerschaum country gentleman is probably my favorite pipe I own.

Can always grab 1oz samplers from the stepsister site too.

It's overwhelming at first, but once you've figured out the process and techniques of pipe smoking, you'll likely find your flavor preference and then explore that area with small samplers n stuff.

I love my pipes. Won't ever replace my cigars but they're the best for a short smoke or closed area smoke. Doesn't foul up my truck, doesn't stink up the garage in the winter. There's a learning curve.

I'd put together a couple noob pipe boxes but have since traded them all off. Was a low end MM cob, a country gentleman, pipe nail, cleaners, and samples of bulk baccy: English, VaPer, VaBur, Burley, and some light aromatics.

My recommendation if you can't get a sampler trade is buy a MM cob, pipe nail, some cleaners, and some Carter Hill baccy. Under $20 and can learn the process before diving in further.
