Palama is in SoCal for some training and MACS and I decided to visit with him while he was here. We wanted to grab a nice meal, have a couple of tasty brews, and herf. We found a place in Irvine, Orange County, near the hotel that Palama is staying, called Taps Fish House and Brewery. It has a cigar friendly patio where all three were possible.

It was a great night of eating, drinking and smoking (MACS supplied the amazing cigars: Montecristo #3 Edicion Limitada 2003). Good times chatting and joking with two friends I would never have met except for Cbid and our mutual enjoyment of cigars.

And here I thought you were referring to our old CBid friend, whose wife just had a baby (a son). Taps is great!

Taps is OK to some and a DB to others, calls out price gougers for cigars but price gouges bourbon.

*shrug*

Herf sounds awesome!

Yes, Palama bore gifts from the Islands. I've finished the Honey Roasted Macadamia nuts and am eyeing the bag of One Ton chips. The My Father Le Bijou toro is awaiting a special occasion when I'll have time smoke that big one.

MACS is too modest to say what gifts he showered Palama and me with: three well aged cubans, not Manny, Moe and Jack, but, 1) Montecristo Petit Edmundo, 2010, 2) Partagas SD4, 2008, and 3) H. Upmann Mag 46, 2008. Very generous, Bro. Mouth watering just reading that line-up.

Think the dude in the van was busy Sunday night, but he might be coming to So Cal in January and possibly staying at the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel. That is a spectacular resort, and I saw that they do allow cigar smoking on their terrace bar at the tables closest to the beach....just saying...

Hey rrumba, if you have transportation and can meet somewhere, let us know. The drive from here to San Diego on a week day is rough though, taking about 3 hours in ridiculous traffic along the 5/405, and just a few minutes less along the inland route 91/15 past MACS' place.

Not modest at all, brother delta... those cigars were from Conan to you and I, LOL! So I got them too.

All I showed up with was the 3 Monte C EL's we torched after dinner. 🤦

Oooops, and he gave them to us BEFORE we started drinking........ Sorry, Palama, I was just so glad to see you and MACS again...and thank you very much for the great cigars!!!

Don't feel inadequate, MACS...that 2003 Monte was SPECTACULAR!

I wonder if I should get tested for early onset dementia/Alzheimers?
