Anybody try the new Hamlet NC yet?

I have had a couple of his custom roll Cubans over the years so I know what he can do. Going to have to see what he can blend up now. To bad he is working with Rockeesh.

I've heard good things from friends whose opinions I would trust, but have yet to try one myself.

Rocky might be a PITA, but keep in mind, he has shit-tons of disposable cash to get Hamlet whatever tobaccos he wanted for these. Which is allegedly what he did, to let Hamlet make all the choices.

Adam, isn't he also one of if not THE hardest working guys in DC trying to fight anti smoking / cigar taxation related issues?

It's possible, and great that he's doing it. Doesn't make him any less of a PITA though.

Performing community service that directly benefits one's business does not a make one a great person. If he wasn't in the tobacco business, he wouldn't be there campaigning.

The man rolled some of the best Cuban cigars I have had. Just wish I had been able to get more.

Never said anything about him being a great person, are you always angry???

So....none of the others in the industry are benefiting from his being in DC? You...I and every cigar smoker is also benefiting from his / their presence.

Have a pair of Hamlet salomons I won a few years ago from a vendor we've both used. May have to seek these NCs just for the comparison LOL!

We're good, Ded. Seems there was some miscommunication going on, it's straightened out.

I was surprised when I read a story about this some time back, I'd give one a shot. No matter how I feel about Patel, this guy is a legend.

Having been to Burn in Naples and being treated like doodoo, I wouldn't buy to many though even if they were good.

Just added these to my shopping list for my next shpo visit. I figure if all you fogs are talking them up, probably worth trying.

Well, I broke down and bought two robusto grandes from a local B&M.

Verdict: Not a combination I would buy more of. If you like the san andres wrappers these may be okay. One had a very firm draw and the wrapper split about an inch which is probably due to the retailers RH. Just not a taste profile I like. ๐Ÿคจ
