goes to work everyday optimistic that it will be a good day and within 14 seconds (sometimes less) of being at work you want to choke someone out and perhaps end up on the news for all the wrong reasons?

Repeat this to yourself as needed:

"The world is full of dumb asses. Don't let a dumb ass ruin your day."

Then smile at the dumb ass and go about your business. Don't give them the power to ruin yur day.

I agree with the premise that you should never let anyone steal your happiness. External factors cannot be controlled, but you can control how you react to them. As I get older I am learning that very few things are worth getting upset over.

You need to find a place that you like going to or at least you can tolerate. It will add years on your life expectancy....

All good stuff here. I really do go in each day expecting that it will be different than yesterday but that's why corporate America is for suckers like me.

Most if not all of my patients, and their families, are having a much worse day than I'm having.

Coworkers on the other hand, they can make or break the day pretty quickly. But I try to go in with a positive attitude every day.

I like my job.

I work alone at night.

And the Vets Hall is just down the road halfway between work and my BQ room.

I love my civilian job. I always plan to go in and accomplish something, then something comes up and pulls my focus, and next thing you know its time to go home. I enjoy being on my toes in an ever changing environment.
