Fwiw, just bought the dewalt "quiet" 200 psi 2.5 gal trim compressor. Used it today driving 2.5 inch framing nails for a new workbench. Great little compressor, didnt cycle on to often, and when it did, could still hear my music on Pandora got it for 139 at HD, looked online and saw most prices at 200 and higher. Anyway, great compressor for the homeowner or diy projects, probably half the noise on any of the pancake compressors i have had over the years. Fits my needs. I know they make a bigger version for 300, that has twin tanks.

A quieter compressor would be nice. I have a pancake tank Craftsman high pressure compressor that requires hearing protection. I bought it to blow out computers before working on them, but I use it every few days to clean chaff out of my coffee roaster. I also use it to air up tires around the house.

No air tools other than a cleaning nozzle and a tire inflater that cost a third of what I paid for the compressor but it's a Power Tank TIG-8200 Heavy Duty Tire Inflator. It has a quick disconnect that seals well, the gage is oil filled and it has a pressure relief button to get the setting just right. Nothing like a well designed tool that works perfectly. This beats the crap out of a plain hold on air chuck and separate air gage.

Fence tires are filled with dirt and topped with pink flamingos. The tires are on a hand truck, pressure washer and wheelbarrow.

Sophomoric reactions are more the rule than the exception here. Staying on topic, compressors are not the only way to blow hot air. 🍺
