If you use Tupperware, ammo can, etc., be sure to add a couple of pieces of Spanish Cedar inside The more, the better. The Spanish Cedar does help with the aging. It's amazing how much the solid Spanish Cedar we use in our custom humidors will smooth out and improve even inexpensive, mediocre cigars. I've purchased cigars that were so harsh and/or bitter "off the truck", that after smoking one, I felt like I had been gargling sand. After some time in the humidor, they were much improved. Also, a digital hygrometer would help to control and maintain an even internal humidity.
